Chesapeake Bank announced it was ranked 'Best in Industry' for Employee Satisfaction for the third year in a row. By surpassing industry standards in Employee Engagement, a primary component of employee satisfaction, Chesapeake has proven itself one of the best employers in the financial industry. Employee satisfaction has a direct correlation with customer service.
We are very pleased with the results of our employee satisfaction survey, comments Jeff Szyperski, President and CEO of Chesapeake Bank, especially since more satisfied employees provide better customer service. We continue to strive for a great place to work and reap the benefits of great customer service as a result.
The company also beat industry highs in the categories of Employee Quality and Employee Retention. Job Satisfaction shows that employees are excited about the organization and the direction in which they are moving. Employee Quality measures how employees perceive their co-workers and how well the company does at attracting and retaining outstanding employees. Employee Retention indicates how likely employees will continue working for the company.
Even though we have tremendous scores, we still look at the ways we can improve our Great Place to Work, comments Pat Lewis, Human Resources Director, Each year we address the issues that surface out of the survey. As a result, we have seen an increase in our scores over the last four years since we began measuring employee satisfaction.
